The Festival is now entering its 33rd season, producing energetic new interpretations of plays, with the artistry and humanity of the Shakespearean canon as our inspiration and guide. The Festival plays to audiences of over 10,000 every summer and operates under an Actors' Equity Association U/RTA Tier II contract.
The Festival technical staffs are contracted in two ways:
The first is for the build period from May 12th until July 17th.
The other is a full summer contract from May 12th until August 8th.
Supervisors are asked to arrive a few days earlier. The Illinois Shakespeare Festival employees between 60-75 talented technicians each summer.
The Festival provides all housing.
